Disney Peter Pan
Tinker Bell Character Statuette
How can a pixie be
so huge? When she's a collectible statue! Standing 19-inches high,
she's flying out of a nifty television-shaped base, at which she's
pointing her metal wand. Limited to 3,000 pieces, this resin statue is
one you can't miss!
Since her debut in
Peter Pan (1953), Tinker Bell has been the symbol of Disney magic. In
James M. Barrie's original stage play, Tinker Bell was seen only as a
spot of light, but Walt wanted his pixie personified. Inspired by the
"Nutcracker Suite" fairies in Fantasia and the pinup girls of World War
II, Marc Davis, one of Walt's legendary "Nine Old Men," drew the pretty
pixie as a curvaceous little lady. Walt enlisted master bell musicians
Bernard and Dorothy Mason to ring Tink's silvery, chiming voice.
But dainty Tink has
her sassy, feisty side, too. Who can forget her jealousy of Wendy, or
her brave attempt to save Peter from Captain Hook? Perhaps that's why
she's one of Disney's most popular female characters.
Master Replicas is
proud to offer this Tinker Bell Character Statuette as part of the Walt
Disney Showcase Collection. Replicating her personality in
larger-than-life detail it's a reminder that anyone can soar. All it
takes is "faith, trust and a sprinkling of pixie dust."
